Cords This is a Christian youth event being organised by youth leaders from churches in Hinckley , Youth for Christ and Youth With A Mission.
Cords is a ministry of Youth With A Mission that began seven years ago in West Sussex . There are currently seven cords events being run throughout the country. The aim is to run an event for young people that provided a discipleship and mission environment for young people. The Purpose of cords is to disciple young people and to bring them together from different denominations; to encourage a lifestyle of worship that is directed by a passion for Jesus, to support involvement in the local church, to broaden perspectives on missions both at home and overseas missions. One of the prime ways of doing this is to get the young people themselves helping to make it happen, playing in the worship band and praying for one another.
This is an event run by young people for young people, supported by youth leaders and others.

Who is it for?
All young people (ages 13-18 in particular) and youth leaders
Is it just for Christians?
No. It is a discipleship event with worship lead by the Cords youth band, but it is very relaxed. We have had many non-Christians come to cords and some of them have become Christians as they have got involved.
What Happens?
A jazz cafe with fairtrade fresh coffee and homemade cakes and stuff, a terrific youth band playing some nice background music including a worship set, teaching, a cool prayer room and opportunities to do creative worship ie. paintings, drawings etc.
How much does it cost?
Cords is offered free to all young people. The running costs of cords are covered by local youth groups and churches generous donations. If you are able to contribute to the running costs, contact the people mentioned under\'how do I get more information\' and say that you want to donate money.
